Dear Valued Partners and Friends, Fundraising Campaign:
Measurement & Verification (M&V) is conducting a fundraising campaign for the victims of the Myanmar Earthquake. On 28 March 2025, a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing widespread destruction and significant loss of life. The epicentre was near Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city, leading to extensive damage. Reports indicate that over 3,000 lives have been lost, with thousands more injured and many still missing.
Target:
According to a report from The Straits Times, the UN aid chief, Mr. Tom Fletcher, has emphasized that more tents are urgently needed for the victims. Therefore, M&V aims to purchase 30 ten-men tents, 300 stretcher beds, and 300 blankets to donate to Mandalay Hospitals. We have set a goal of raising SGD 30,000 to buy the tents, beds and blankets and to send them to Mandalay Hospitals by 18 Apr 2025.
Cost Breakdown:
1. 30 ten-men tents = 30 x SGD 210 = SGD 6,300
2. 300 stretcher beds = 300 x SGD 21 = SGD 6,300
3. 300 blankets = 300 x SGD 7 = SGD 2,100
4. Transportation = SGD 16,000
Total Cost = SGD 30,700

Accountability:
M&V has worked with volunteers from the Mandalay Hospitals to ensure that 100% of your donation will be used to help the victims with their immediate needs (shelter & beds) directly, transparently and rapidly.
M&V will provide updates on our website, including:
1. Final accounts of the money raised.
2. Receipts for all purchases and transportation.
3. Photos of the tents, beds, and blankets upon reaching Mandalay Hospitals.
4. Photos of the erected tents and beds.
5. Photos of victims utilizing the facilities
